New Year Toast
The New Year is upon us, and we'll all be going out or going to some party, or just hanging with friends and/or family celebrating the coming year. And recently I heard a quote that got me thinking.....
The Quote was..."Life is not measured in the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath."
How true! But what fascinated me most about this statement, was that LIFE in itself "CAN" be measured. Meaning, there is an allotted number of breaths' each one of us take before we expire.
So here I sit, GOGGLING "the average number of breathes per lifetime" and came across this formula:
(1) The Average number of breaths in one minute, lets say is 15, then calcultate one hour, one day, and one year
(2) Then number of breaths taken in an average persons lifetime.
*Humans breathe an average Of 400,000,000 breaths in a lifetime!
Some might say that's a lot...Some might say its not enough...And some...already experienced the answer...
So I started to think maybe we SHOULD measure our life in the number of breaths we take...This might help put into perspective all that we need to accomplish this coming year, or better yet all that we need to accomplish in our lifetime...But either way...the "clock lungs" are ticking.
So I guess Picasso said it best, "Only put off until tomorrow, what you're willing to die having left undone."
Now that's a "NEW" New Years toast!
